Job Summary:
A Child & Family Interventionist 1 assists in assessing children and families to develop a permanency plan of action, then implementing or assuring implementation of that plan, assisting with the therapeutic needs of the family, and overseeing the cases.

Responsibilities and Authorities:
- Meet productivity requirements which are 35 of 40 hours being billable with 60% direct time and 40% being indirect time
- Provide intensive therapeutic services, family therapy, parent management, psycho education and support services to families experiencing varying needs and concerns
- Develop crisis safety plans in collaboration with the child/adolescent and family
- Develops a comprehensive treatment plan in collaboration with the client and family clearly documenting attainable goals and objectives for each family member
- Assess and evaluate children and family in preparation and throughout foster and adoptive placements throughout reunification and preservation.
- Provide informal counseling, advocacy, and emotional support to families.
- Complete written assessment of children and families
- Completes written assessments of foster/adoptive families and children
- Complete SWAN/Adoptive work as assigned and according to protocol
- Develop service plans, coordinate, and participate in implementation of the plan
- Primary contact with medical, educational, and all contractual (CYF) contacts
- Provides follow-up support for families.
- Provides transportation and supervision of families when needed.
- Participates in outreach activities as assigned.
- Completes office protocol and documentation requirements
Qualifications:
Education : Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or related field. Some graduate work preferred.
Experience: At least two years related experience and/or training.
Requirements: Ownership of a reliable vehicle, a valid PA driver's license and proof of insurance are required. Act 33/34 Clearances required
Non-Exempt - Flexible workweek with variable hours and days as needed.
