Job Title: Child and Family Support Specialist 2 - Full Time
Job Summary:
A Child & Family Support Specialist 2 assists in assessing children and families to develop a permanency plan of action, then implementing or assuring implementation of that plan.

Responsible to: Child & Family Manager
Staff Supervised : None
Responsibilities and Authorities:
- Meet productivity requirements which are 35 of 40 hours being billable with 60% direct time and 40% being indirect time.
- Participates in case planning process and meetings
- With supervisory overview, assists with the development of crisis safety plans in collaboration with the child/adolescent and family.
- With supervisory overview, assists with the development of a comprehensive treatment plan in collaboration with the client and family clearly documenting attainable goals and objectives for each family member.
- With supervisory overview, assists with assessing and evaluating children and family in preparation and throughout foster and adoptive placements throughout reunification and preservation.
- Provide informal advocacy and emotional support to families.
- Completes written assessments of children and families when applicable.
- Complete SWAN/Adoptive work as assigned and according to protocol
- Can be primary contact with medical, educational and all (CYF) contacts
- Identifies and coordinates the delivery of formal and informal support, community based resources and concrete items to assist families in parenting children.
- Provide life skills, budgeting, and parent education to families.
- Transportation and accompaniment to medical appointments
- Provides ongoing supervision of families during foster and adoptive placements
- Provides follow-up support for families
- Participates in outreach activities as assigned.
- Completes office protocol and documentation requirements.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in counseling, Social Work, Psychology or related field.
Experience: One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requirements: Ownership of a reliable vehicle, a valid PA driver's license and proof of insurance are required. Act 33/34 Clearances required.
Non-Exempt - Flexible workweek with variable hours and days as needed.
