Performance and Quality Improvement

Every child is committed to Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI). We feel that not only do our families and children benefit from this effort but so do our employees. Information about PQI is included in orientation for new employees. And, all employees are expected to participate in PQI activities.

PQI is an agency-wide effort that includes staff and our stakeholders (e.g. referral agencies, funders). We have developed a PQI Program that regularly reviews data and information from all programs, for clients and for other areas of the agency that support our programs, e.g. client rights, strategic planning, human resources, fiscal management, fund development, risk management, training and supervision.

ECI Leadership Team also functions as the agency’s PQI Committee. This committee meets quarterly and reviews a variety of efforts to ensure that progress is being made in the area of client, program and agency outcomes as well as (selected) other activities, such as review of incidents, accidents, grievances, safety, staff retention, training. The PQI Program relies upon the use of data and evidence to measure progress and to review essential functions of the agency. We then look for areas of success and also areas for improvement. This information is communicated to all staff. The PQI Program and activities held to ensure strong performance and continual improvement.
